Quick update on some new items in the shop

It is so hard to keep a blog updated with my daily work load.  I am sorry about that!
It's been a long while; last year was a bad year, we lost all our parents that year and had funerals from Texas to Litchfield England.  We also took a 19 day vacation for our 25th Anniversary.  We went to Port Issac where Doc Martin is filmed.  We were going to book his surgery for our stay but we ended up in a lovely cottage just down the hill from the surgery.

Back in the shop there has been a few new items,  the pencil slider for fussy work

I updated the Charkha and Takhli shuttles both the slim version and the floor loom versions

A new size on the Swedish shuttles.  This is a slim and is 22" long

And these shuttles were used in a movie set... :)

And there will be a few shuttles in a Craft museum from September to January 2026. The Passementerie Gimp Braid Shuttle, the Mini Tapestry Loom with tools, The My Everything Inkle Stick, the Weaving sword and the Super Slim boat shuttle.

I am sure there is more but it escapes me at the moment.  I hope my update was helpful and you enjoyed seeing some new items for the shop.
Thank you so much for your continued support of my one man business.

While closed for the holiday's a few 18th Century reproduction 2 treadle looms were made.

Every year I close the second week of November and I don't re-open till January 3rd.  This is so I can have some much needed time for family and friends and so I too can enjoy the holiday's.  But also to make a few things I don't get a chance to very often throughout the year.

This year was a good year for treadle looms as I ended up getting 5 made.  The first three sold within moments of posting them but I have two that haven't sold yet and I'm secretly considering keeping one of these for my self.  I do have the prototype but they are just getting so nice that I sure would like to make sure I get one.  :)
Anyway here are the three we made during our break this year.  I'm videoing Summer who I paid to demonstrate how to use the looms.

This one is sold and is made from California burl Cottonwood and Padauk

Here is a video:  Here is a video of this loom

This one is Walnut and Ambrosia.  Here is a video of this loom.

And this one is the Cherry one.  Here is a video  Cherry Two Treadle Loom

And they come completely apart!

Reproduction 18th Century Two Treadle Tape Loom - Patagonian Rosewood and Curly Maple

This one took a much longer time to complete.  Of course it is sold and there will never be another one like it.  :)  Patagonian Rose is as hard as a brick and I did not enjoy working with it at all.  I am glad she is done and she did turn out lovely for sure.  The customer/friend who go her is well worth it.  Super nice weaver I've know for a long time now.  She sent the pictures of her warped up and of the woven band that was made on this lovely loom.

New Box Loom with cute Playful Cats

A new engraving design for the Handywoman Box loom.  Such super cute playful cats adorn this little box loom.
